About The Position
As a Process Engineer at Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials, you will play a crucial role in the development and optimization of manufacturing processes aimed at improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing product quality. Your responsibilities will include creating, reviewing, and updating detailed technical documentation such as process flow diagrams, standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and technical reports. You will analyze process data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement, providing clear, data-driven recommendations to stakeholders. In addition to process development, you will implement continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma to enhance process performance and reduce variability. Compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines will be a key focus of your role. You will act as the technical expert for assigned process areas, serving as a resource to production, maintenance, engineering, R&D, quality, sales, and customers. As the process owner, you will be responsible for the technical performance of the department, driving the optimization and troubleshooting of production processes, including StableOps efforts. You will lead capital projects that enhance the efficiency, productivity, and safety of the production department, championing the development of the capital plan for assigned production areas and providing justification for recommended projects. Additionally, you will assist the R&D group in the development of new products and conduct process improvement experiments. Training and documentation on new processes, as well as updates to current processes, will also be part of your responsibilities. You will perform machine and process design for new and existing lines and manage assigned capital projects, including vendor and contractor selection, supervision of work, and approval of payments for invoices.
