Location: North Kansas City Workplace Type: On-Site Are you passionate about optimizing operations and driving efficiency? We’re looking for a Process Engineer to transform workflows, enhance production, and create smarter, more effective systems—join us in shaping the future! As a Process Engineer in the Treating and Drying department, you will develop innovative solutions and new approaches to engineering problems, determining the sequence of steps or processes required to fabricate and assemble products that meet the organisation's standards of quality and cost. This position reports to the Unit Manager.
Requirements
- Experience in executing projects or process improvements and troubleshooting in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information and prepare concisely written reports.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, build consensus, and foster relationships at multiple organization levels and across different organizational functions.
- Is self-directed and demonstrates high level of initiative.
- Demonstrated degree of sound judgment, resourcefulness, and innovation in handling complex technical assignments, with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical or Mechanical Engineering with 3 or more years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to successfully implement capital projects/permits and perform engineering functions in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrate completed projects meet the design objectives.
Nice To Haves
- Project Management training and/or certification, a plus.
- Lean Six Sigma Certification, a plus.
