About The Position

Chemours is seeking a student majoring in Process Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable discipline to join our Mineral Operations team as an intern! This position will report directly to the Process Engineering Team Leader. As a Process Engineering Intern, you will work closely with the Mineral Operations team gaining valuable experience through hands-on projects in our mines and mineral separation plants in Georgia and Florida. You will have exposure to real-time Process Engineering work alongside other mineral processing and mining professionals to apply what you've learned in the classroom. Effective interns will have the ability to communicate with impact, have strong self-awareness, and be naturally inquisitive.

Requirements

• Enrollment at an accredited college or university pursuing an undergraduate degree in Process Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or a comparable discipline.
• Strong capabilities with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Nice To Haves

• Capabilities with modeling, coding, and statistical analysis.
• Strong interest in mineral processing.
• 3.0 GPA or above.
• Participation in relevant activities, organizations, and projects beyond the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Working with experienced mineral processing and mining professionals on operations improvement projects.
• Assisting plant operations with identifying opportunities for process improvement, developing alternative solutions, carrying out trials, and making recommendations.
• Advancing Chemours' safety culture.
• Contributing to team meetings and participating in team activities.
