We are looking for a Process Engineer to join our North American Shot Peening Group! The Process Engineer will provide Machine Qualifications, Calibration, New programming development, existing program review/validation, etc. Provide the technical expertise necessary to support and maintain existing robotic equipment on-site. This position reports to the Senior Business Unit Manager. Location: Phoenix (50% travel is required) Salary: $90,000-$100,000 Please note that the salary range information provided is a general guideline only, reflecting a position based in AZ. Criteria such as the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.

  • Create documentation (SOPs, Work Instructions) and standardize best practices across the shot peening facilities.
  • Support the operations and production teams through hands-on involvement.
  • Prepare, maintain and submit clear progress reports and maintain status – routinely communicating with corporate management and stakeholders.
  • Perform robotic machine calibrations, processing, and automation.
  • Provide robotic programmer/operator/maintenance training.
  • Participate in direct development of robotic programs, process validations and control of standard tool deployment.
  • Coordinate tool design (TCP) calibration with development/implementation, suggestions on tooling, fixtures, and process improvements based on observations/experience.
  • Oversee possible Annual Preventative Maintenance on Robotic Equipment.
  • Audit facilities programming standards for robotic processing – to include revision control, back-up, storage and archiving requirements.
  • Assist in deployment of offline programming initiatives for robust/efficient process development.
  • Bachelor’s degree or associates' in engineering (mechanical or industrial is preferred) + relevant experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Ability to travel in the US, Mexico, and Canada up to 50%.
  • Team player, willingness to get the job done.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of automation equipment or robot programming, with functional competence of Solidworks or other CAD systems.
  • Self-motivated and decisive, with a focus on problem solving.
  • The ability to work independently and efficiently performing multiple tasks.
