We are seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer to join our food manufacturing team that would directly report to the director of maintenance. The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. This role works closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth and cost-effective operations. Will be in charge of implementing projects.

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to meet production goals.
  • Analyze workflow, equipment layout, and workforce utilization to improve productivity.
  • Implement process improvements and lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
  • Support new product introductions by developing manufacturing processes, procedures, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to process, equipment, or materials.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality and production issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Maintenance) on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain and update process documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and validation protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
  • Monitor process performance using KPIs and make data-driven decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering role (entry-level roles may accept less with internship/co-op experience).
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Familiarity with CAD software, statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab), and ERP/MES/CMMS systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work cross-functionally.
  • Experience in industry-specific experience, e.g., automotive, pharmaceutical, food processing, electronics, etc.
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards such as ISO, GMP, or OSHA.
