About The Position

The Process Engineer reports to the Engineering Manager and supports the day-to-day operation of the Memphis facility, including evaluation and implementation of technical changes. The position provides process technical support for the entire site operation.

Requirements

• 1-5 years of experience in Engineering in chemical plants.
• BS degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering related to activities noted.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of SAP desirable.

Responsibilities

• Applying principles of mass, flow, reactions, heat transfer, etc. to process and equipment design, at conceptual and detail design.
• Managing process improvement projects, including MOC/PSSR requirements.
• Assessing data to track and improve yield, reliability, cost energy and key raw material usage.
• Leading site PHAs and implementing recommendations.
• Conducting resources HES studies, initiatives, and incident investigations.
• Supporting the Operations Manager in troubleshooting existing processes and technical writing or revisions of operating procedures.
• Preparing technical and business reports and presentations.
• Preparing training materials for personnel at the site in process upgrades, modification, etc.
• Mentoring Developmental Engineers and other new employees as appropriate.
• Working with other functions to address issues around quality, products, planning and customers.
• Reading company communications weekly, i.e. production advisories, emails, etc.
• Completing scheduled periodic training on time and as required.
