About The Position

We’re looking for a seasoned Process Engineer IV to lead complex, multidisciplinary projects in the life sciences and food & beverage industries. This high-impact role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership, guiding process design from concept through commissioning. You’ll collaborate across teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive innovation in facility and system design. This is a high-priority position with visibility across the organization. You’ll be at the forefront of designing and delivering innovative, high-performance facilities that shape the future of manufacturing and science.

Requirements

  • ABET-accredited Bachelor’s in Chemical, Biological, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 10 years for Lead-level responsibilities
  • Minimum 15 years for Senior-level responsibilities
  • Experience in design firms, operating companies, or construction environments preferred
  • Strong understanding of regulatory codes and industry standards
  • Proficiency in process modeling, simulation tools, and 3D coordination
  • Experience with facility and system design in life sciences or food & beverage sectors

Responsibilities

  • Lead Process Engineering Efforts: Oversee discipline-specific design and execution across large, complex projects, ensuring alignment with client goals, budgets, and schedules.
  • Project Strategy & Execution: Partner with Project Managers to develop proposals, plan resources, and shape project delivery strategies.
  • Technical Excellence: Develop and review process design packages, including PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, and control strategies.
  • Field & Construction Support: Lead site walkdowns, field surveys, commissioning, and startup activities. Respond to RFIs, review submittals, and support construction teams.
  • Mentorship & Leadership: Guide and mentor junior engineers and designers, fostering technical growth and collaboration.
  • Advanced Design & Planning: Contribute to master planning, facility layout, capacity planning, and risk assessments (e.g., HAZOP, HCCP).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with internal disciplines, vendors, and construction partners to ensure seamless project execution.
