As a Process Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in designing and optimizing manufacturing processes for display and semiconductor manufacturing technologies. You will collect and analyze data, perform hardware characterization, and troubleshoot engineering issues. You'll also measure film properties, generate technical documentation, and engage with customers to resolve concerns. Process Engineers collaborate with vendors and suppliers, and become familiar with implementing new technologies and products. You will experiment, learn, and collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the semiconductor and display industries, partnering with our globally recognized R&D teams on state-of-the-art research and development projects.

Responsibilities

  • Design, collect data, analyze and compile reports on moderately difficult Process Engineering experiments, within safety guidelines.
  • Troubleshoot moderately complex problems, perform Root Cause Analysis and resolve moderately difficult process engineering issues.
  • Measure film properties or etch profiles, organize data/reports for review and interpret data.
  • Work with technical lead to set up integration flows for various semiconductor memory device test chip fabrication.
  • Define unit process requirements for individual steps in the flow.
  • Communicate with unit process development engineer, the requirements and schedule for development for step the process development to meet overall integration flow development timeline.
  • Track wafer lots from lot start request to lot ship and e-testing
  • Define metrology, characterization and etest requirement for test chip.
  • Work with lithography engineers to set up layout to fabricate semiconductor devices with critical dimension analysis Applications and algorithms for various metrology instruments and commercial or in-house software for existing and next generation technology node.
  • Carry statistical analyses to characterize the device features, process trend, impacting factors and improve process performances to meet specifications.
  • Design and implement new technology, products and analytical instrumentation
  • Identify, select and work with vendors and suppliers with limited to no supervision
  • Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgment and identify innovative solutions
  • Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by functional policies
  • Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view
