IFF Health and Biosciences offers summer internships designed to provide students with hands-on experience in conducting world-class biotechnology applications within an industrial enzyme manufacturing environment. As a Process Engineering intern at IFF, you will have the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to various projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, managers, and technicians. This internship is structured to give you practical experience in a real-world biotechnology manufacturing plant, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge in a professional setting. Your intern project may involve several key activities, including pilot scale testing and data analysis aimed at large-scale process improvements. You will analyze process data to support necessary process changes and implement new raw materials while optimizing material and energy usage. Additionally, you will engage in equipment design and costing for small-scale capital projects, providing you with a comprehensive understanding of the engineering processes involved in biotechnology manufacturing. Interns at IFF Health and Biosciences are compensated with a competitive hourly wage and are responsible for their own transportation and housing during the 12-week summer internship program. This internship is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Biological Systems Engineering, particularly those who are at least sophomores in their undergraduate studies.
