About The Position

IFF is seeking innovative and collaborative college students for their 2025 Co-Op or Summer 2025 intern program at the Health & Biosciences site in Rochester, New York. This internship offers hands-on experience in engineering projects, data visualization, and support for plant operations, while allowing students to enhance their professional skills in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering Sciences, Engineering and Applied Sciences, Biology, Microbiology, or related disciplines.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the Fall or Spring Semester or Summer of 2025.
• Ability to work safely and comply with all corporate/site EHS guidelines and policies.

• Ability to work and complete projects independently, as well as within a team environment.
• Basic understanding of microbiological concepts and assays.
• Aseptic technique.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects through investigation, scope, design, and implementation phases to provide safety and capacity improvements.
• Build data visualization dashboards in plant historian.
• Provide support to engineers in executing plant trials and production/maintenance troubleshooting.
• Comply with all company policies including Quality, Safety, Food Safety, Environmental, GMPs, Dietary Supplements, and HACCP-HARPC.
• Adhere to all quality systems including ISO 22000 Food Safety, FAMI-QS, and NSF Dietary Supplements.

Benefits

• Hourly rate of $19.20 - $29.70 depending on classification.
