About The Position

Gray AES is seeking to add a Process Engineer III to its team, with the position based in one of our offices located in Atlanta, GA, Birmingham, AL, Cincinnati, OH, Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, Lexington, KY, Louisville, KY or St. Louis. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on process systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in detailed process design for food and beverage processing lines.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Word, and AutoCAD.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal teams and customers.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred; PE license is a plus.
  • Travel required for site audits, installations, and customer meetings as per project needs.
  • Regular use of hands, standing, walking, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex process design efforts, applying advanced engineering concepts to develop process systems for food and beverage applications.
  • Execute the full scope of project work, including design, budgeting, implementation, procurement, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of processing systems.
  • Work closely with project managers, clients, and internal teams to ensure project goals are aligned and executed successfully.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, adopting best practices to enhance engineering quality and project deliverables.
  • Provide support for on-site commissioning, troubleshooting, and operational optimization to ensure system performance meets design specifications.
  • Develop technical documentation, including equipment lists, flow diagrams, and process narratives.
