We’re on a mission to enable life-changing therapies to reach patients around the world—and we’re looking for passionate individuals who embody our core values every day: Responsible, Responsive, Resilient, and Respectful.   Following the expansion of our US footprint with the acquisition of a new commercial-scale viral vector facility in Durham, North Carolina we have some new opportunities to join us.   We’re currently recruiting for a Process Engineer II to join our MSAT team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the assessment and technology transfer of new manufacturing processes that support clinical and commercial manufacturing playing a key part in advancing our mission and making a real difference.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Engineering, Biological Sciences, or related field.
  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience in biologics or pharmaceutical manufacturing (GMP environment). Strong understanding of bioprocess operations and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to support 24/7 operations and occasional travel (~10%).
  • Familiarity with FDA/EU GMP standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cell or gene therapy manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of data/statistical software (e.g., JMP, Skyland Analytics).

Responsibilities

  • Provide downstream technical support (clarification, chromatography, TFF, sterile fill/finish).
  • Lead technology transfers, process introductions, and cross-functional project teams.
  • Draft and review technical documentation—tech transfer plans, protocols, and reports.
  • Support facility fit, process troubleshooting, and risk assessments (FMEA).
  • Drive process improvements to enable efficient, compliant manufacturing.
