About The Position

Merrick & Company is looking for a Process Engineer with experience with oil refining, gas processing, ammonia, or chemical plant experience. This person will be in our Greenwood Village, Colorado office and a hybrid schedule will be considered.
Annual salary range for this position is $83,600 - $108,200. Base pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Chemical Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in refinery and/or hydrocarbons processing design and operations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Candidates for this position must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Analyze equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine appropriate designs and processes.
• Provide technical information concerning processing techniques, materials, properties, and process advantages and limitations which affect long range engineering planning.
• Confer with Technical Lead to clarify or resolve problems and develops design.
• Prepare process design deliverables including: Mass and Energy Balances
• Process Flow Diagrams
• Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams
• Equipment sizing calculations
• Process line sizing calculations
• Equipment datasheets
• Vendor coordination for selection of instrumentation and equipment.
• Able to perform many process tasks autonomously (e.g., calculations, report writing, options study).
