About The Position

As a Process Engineer II here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes and driving operational excellence. You will utilize your expertise in process engineering to develop innovative solutions and improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the integration of process design into manufacturing operations. Your contributions will directly impact on the success of our organization, and you'll work out of our Pottsville, PA location. In this role, you will impact the organization by implementing process improvement initiatives, analyzing data to identify areas for optimization, and driving continuous improvement efforts. You will also collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.
  • 2+ years of experience in process engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with film winding process and familiar with roll quality parameters.
  • Significant experience in manufacturing related to production or process engineering.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to connect and inspire others.
  • A proven track record of leading projects and teams that successfully achieve milestones and complete deliverables.
  • Greenbelt/DFSS certified, ability to apply Six Sigma tools to drive process improvements.
  • Experience with continuous process improvement projects.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work well with others at all organizational levels and promote a team environment.
  • Excellent organization, planning, oral and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for optimization.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production totals and metrics.
  • Coordinate production priorities to meet customer demand.
  • Provide instructions to operations personnel during supervisor's absence.
  • Create and monitor yields, OEE, key process indicators, and product quality.
  • Troubleshoot issues and maintain plant stability.
  • Ensure HSE requirements are met at all times.
  • Develop new processes and procedures using problem analysis.
  • Work with site and corporate process engineering groups and R&D to define and execute productivity projects.
  • Utilize data acquisition and manipulation techniques to interpret results and recommend corrective action for optimum plant operation.
  • Conduct RCA and implement corrective action as directed using the management of change (MOC) process.
  • Conduct economic studies for optimization of production rates and costs for justification of projects.
  • Prepare or assist in preparation of process designs including equipment specifications, flow diagrams, P&ID's, and operating instructions.
  • Actively participate in PHA reviews and close out action items.
