Requirements

  • BSME or technical skills requirement equivalence.
  • Minimum of 2 - 4 years of related experience and/or training preferably in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong team player.
  • Ability to work under frequently changing priorities and to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to solve practical and complex problems.
  • Ability to work in an ISO 9001;2008 and ISO 14001;2004 environment.

Responsibilities

  • Reviews and evaluates proposed and processed engineering changes and/or other specification requirements.
  • Creates and updates process specifications, procedures and work instructions.
  • Tests new engineering techniques and designs cost efficient equipment.
  • Evaluates and tests new and/or alternative materials.
  • Reviews and recommends changes to materials and manufacturing processes in order to maintain and improve the quality of the product lines.
  • Analyzes technical issues, generates and delivers, both orally and in writing, technical papers.
  • Applies sound engineering principles and solves difficult technical/quality problems or issues with raw materials, manufacturing processes and quality of product lines.
  • Develops appropriate systems for solving quality and reliability problems.
  • Recommends, plans and executes changes in layout of production facilities and equipment.
  • Leads and/or participates in continuous improvement teams.
  • Works closely with R&D to ensure smooth transition of new products to production.
  • Adheres to the safety requirements for the various manufacturing areas including use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
