About The Position

Merrick & Company is hiring a Process Engineer I to join our Energy, Manufacturing & Bioprocessing team in Greenwood Village, CO. Annual salary range for this position is $72,300.00 - $88,300.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. As a Process Engineer at Merrick, you will work primarily on energy and industrial biotechnology projects, working within a small, multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers to execute engineering projects. This engineer will: Analyze equipment specifications and performance requirements to determine appropriate designs. Prepare process design deliverables including: Process Flow Diagrams Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams Orifice and equipment sizing calculations Process line sizing calculations Equipment and Instrument datasheets Vendor coordination for selection of instrumentation and equipment. Review and check the work of other process engineers. Coordinate design inputs and design activities with other engineering disciplines in a team environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Two (2) to five (5) years of related engineering experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Fundamentals of Engineering / Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Experience with the following software: Aspen Hysys and/or Aspen Plus
  • Intelligen, SuperPro, and/or SchedulePro
  • AFT Arrow
  • AFT Fathom
  • Mathcad

Responsibilities
