As a Process Engineer I at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and product quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate process design into manufacturing operations and identify opportunities for process improvement. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will report directly to our Process Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Spokane Valley, WA location. In this role, you will impact the organization by implementing process improvements that drive cost savings, enhance product quality, and increase customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Material Science, or Physics is preferred.
  • Recent college graduate to 2 years' experience in an engineering field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Six Sigma Green belt (able to complete within the first 12 months).

  • Knowledge of basic statistics and statistical process control.
  • Experience with identifying process changes.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience scoping projects with business level impact.
  • Ability to work without guidance or supervision.
  • Ability to accurately identify patterns to solve problems.
  • Experience with Management of Change process.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate process design into manufacturing operations.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct analysis and simulations to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to production teams.
  • Process control (SPC/SQC) and statistical analysis.
