About The Position
The Process Engineer will provide process engineering support for project development and field operations. This role involves using technical knowledge to perform engineering assignments with guidance and direction, supporting relevant technical matters with external bodies such as vendors, contractors, national approval agencies, and other stakeholders. The engineer will also support across business operations and contribute specialized knowledge, endorsing the relevant technical sections of key Company Governance Documents including Project Execution Plans, Basis of Design, Asset Reference Plans, and as-build documentation reviews. The position requires awareness of procurement, tendering, and contractual terms, conditions, and relevant procedures. The engineer will participate in technical integrity processes audit and reviews, including HAZID, HAZOPS, safety critical reviews, risk assessments, design, constructability, and operability reviews. Additionally, the role includes providing process engineering assistance during FAT, commissioning, and facility start-ups, developing Brownfield and Greenfield project scopes from a process engineering perspective, and providing support on new facility concept and design development. The engineer will also present conceptual process designs and debottlenecking opportunities to senior management to help secure project sanctioning, provide detailed engineering support on relevant strategic and MOC projects, and work with engineering contractors during the project execution phase. Responsibilities also include performing relief and blowdown calculations, process simulations, heat and material balances, process equipment, piping and controls sizing and rating calculations, maximizing capacity utilization, drafting process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates, ensuring processes comply with safety and quality standards, and providing process engineering assistance with facility troubleshooting investigations.
