About The Position

Jireh Semiconductor in Hillsboro, OR is seeking a Diffusion Process Engineer to join our team. The Diffusion Process Engineer will work closely with Equipment Engineering to develop and sustain oxidation, anneal and LPCVD processes on our BTI and KSEC furnaces, along with cleaning processes on our DNS and MEI wet benches. Additionally, the Diffusion process engineer will work with engineers from other modules and our quality teams to identify and address defect and yield issues in our high-volume manufacturing fab. Depending on experience, the engineer will be expected to assume primary ownership of at least one module and be qualified as a primary back-up for at least one additional module.

Requirements

  • BS, Masters or Ph.D. degree in physics, electrical engineering, chemical engineering, material science, or other related discipline.
  • 2+ years of experience desired.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with people one on one and in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Experience with MS Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands on experience with furnaces and/or wet benches is preferred.
  • Introductory understanding of device physics.
  • Experience with power MOSFET/Trench MOSFET a plus.
  • Experience with SPC and automated data collection/analysis.
  • Minitab/JMP or other software skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support existing furnace and wet clean processes in the 200mm fab.
  • Develop and optimize new processes and process controls for lower cost, higher productivity and enabling technology.
  • Implementing and refining SPC and tool monitors to reduce process variation and prevent out of control events
  • Perform/analyze statistically designed experiments and write reports and process change notifications.
  • Disposition discrepant material, including troubleshooting/diagnosis of root cause and implementation of preventative actions.
  • Write specs for tools, processes and operations.
  • Cross training in additional modules to provide back-up coverage as needed.
