About The Position

This position is for a highly skilled with innovative attitude and motivated Process Engineer to join ASML Wilton Factory Optical Fabrication team. This role supports daily manufacturing operations, drives continuous improvement, and partners closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to advance equipment capability and product performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Optical, Materials, or related field)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in optical fabrication process engineering or a related manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with optics fabrication techniques, including CNC machining, polishing, and surface inspection
  • Proficient in root cause analysis (RCA) and lean manufacturing tools
  • Familiarity with metrology techniques and quality assurance in optics manufacturing
  • Demonstrated ability to lead problem-solving initiatives and implement process improvements
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work effectively across different departments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a semiconductor or CNC manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and Six Sigma methodologies
  • Solid Modeling Software, NX CAM Software, Mastercam
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, or equivalent software
  • Experience with SAP or MES systems
  • Knowledge of cleanroom protocols and practices

Responsibilities

  • Champion a safety-first culture by identifying potential hazards, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring all work adheres to established EHS safety protocols
  • Develop, document, and improve CNC machining processes, programs, and workflows for new and existing products. Optimize cycle times, toolpaths, feeds/speeds, and work holding to improve quality and throughput.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, and metrology to resolve technical challenges and implement sustainable solutions
  • Diagnose and resolve machining issues related to tooling, fixturing, programming, and equipment behavior. Partner with maintenance and vendors to address machine performance, repeatability issues, or reliability concerns.
  • Analyze machining performance using SPC, capability studies, and data-driven problem solving. Define process specifications and control limits; utilize statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Minitab) to evaluate process capabilities and drive data-driven decision-making and maintaining 6P=P from feasibility to production-readiness phases
  • Perform hands-on process trials and support qualification of new equipment, materials, and process changes to enhance production performance.
  • Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for quality deviations or nonconformances.
  • Drive 5S and workplace organization around CNC areas.
