About The Position
As a Process Engineer at Dealer Tire, your essential job functions will include supporting the execution of the Supply Chain Solutions Project Portfolio. You will apply project management skills with minimal supervision to lead and prioritize projects, manage budgets and timelines, and ensure successful execution. You will collaborate with Operations, Systems SMEs, and other stakeholders to develop and execute implementation plans for initiatives such as warehouse moves, resets, openings, and continuous improvement efforts, including technology evaluations aimed at reducing operational costs. Your role will also involve designing, evaluating, and improving supply chain processes to enhance capability, efficiency, and overall productivity across the department. You will partner with Sales, Program Management, IT, and other Supply Chain teams to support and enhance operational processes and programs that impact daily performance. Additionally, you will utilize AutoCAD to design warehouse layouts that maximize space utilization, improve efficiency, and promote a safe working environment. You will leverage WMS systems to identify opportunities and implement improvements in warehouse systems, distribution center layouts, and key performance metrics. Developing, analyzing, and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support all warehouse and logistics processes will also be part of your responsibilities. You will investigate and analyze system and operational issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to ensure long-term resolution. Applying LEAN principles, 6S methodology, and process engineering techniques to drive process improvements and operational efficiencies will be crucial. Lastly, you will ensure compliance with all workplace safety regulations and standards.
