About The Position

The Process Engineer increases productivity by integrating plant assets, personnel, technology, energy, MIS, effective maintenance, instrumentation, production, raw material handling, and material flow processes. The Process Engineer will also assist in daily plant operations by interfacing and coordinating activities with plant personnel, assist in improvement projects, data review, and ensure that operational objectives are all met. Navigation in information systems, including CPMS, DCS, and PI, will be necessary to provide daily, and monthly, including other reports. All these job tasks will be done while sustaining a safe and healthful working environment that meets environmental, health, and safety regulations and Company requirements.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Thermodynamics, Energy & Material Balance, Unit Operations, Heat/Mass Transfer, Fluid Statics, and Dynamic, Kinetics, and Engineering Economies.
  • Ability to Train and Learn
  • General PC Skills such as MS Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.
  • General Mathematic and Writing Skills
  • Willingness to take over responsibilities in assigned areas.
  • B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering required; other related engineering disciplines considered.
  • Will require training in Company Policies and Procedures after hire.
  • Current employees must meet all technical and safety training requirements forcurrent position, as specified in the Master Training Plan.
  • Must participate in the following subject training and pass required certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • 1~2 years of experience in a petro-chemical refinery environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Utilizes recognized statistical process techniques and other measurement tools to develop, maintain, and present required reports detailing the effectiveness of existing processes or supporting the need to introduce new processes.
  • Issue Management of Change through the KMS system.
  • Follow up with any recommendations for abnormalities or incidents.
  • Troubleshoot process abnormalities and make corrections and recommendations as necessary.
  • Anticipate needs, work as a problem solver to eliminate blockages, and enhance the consist delivery of quality products that exceed customer expectations.
  • Manage, solve, and/or recommend a resolution to discrepancies, deviations, abnormalities, customer complaints, quality, and non-quality related issues.
  • Keep up-to-date on Safety training and SOP training.
  • Keep up-to-date on Memos, Read, and Sign communications.
  • Assist in developing communication memos as necessary.
  • Working with hourly operators and Shift Supervisors to strive for excellence and professionalism.
  • Supports Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, including during Project Management, which includes Management of Change (MOC), Process Safety Information (PSI) updates, and P&ID modifications.
  • Promote cleanliness and order through the implementation of the Total House Keeping Maintenance program.
  • Emphasize Nothing Touch Ground program and No Visual Pollution program.
  • Maintain the plant in like new condition.
