About The Position

Gerresheimer is seeking a talented Process Engineer Assembly to join our Process Optimization team. In this role, you'll focus on optimizing assembly processes , reducing cycle times , and improving product quality . You'll lead root cause analysis (RCA) , implement continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to lean manufacturing efforts and support the pharmaceutical manufacturing process in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering , Industrial Engineering , Manufacturing Engineering , or related field
  • 1-3 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or assembly engineering
  • Strong root cause analysis (RCA) and process optimization skills
  • Experience with data-driven analysis (SPC, KPIs, trend charts)
  • Basic knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen)
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to work hands-on in production
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in regulated industries (pharma or medical devices)
  • Proficiency with Minitab or other statistical tools
  • CAD skills (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)

Responsibilities

  • Optimizing assembly processes to improve efficiency and reduce defects
  • Leading RCA to identify process inefficiencies and implement corrective actions
  • Supporting change management processes and writing change controls
  • Using Power BI , Minitab , and statistical tools to perform data analysis and track key metrics (SPC, KPIs)
  • Applying lean principles such as 5S and waste elimination to streamline operations
  • Collaborating with production, quality, and engineering teams to improve process stability and reduce variability
