The position involves receiving projects from the Plant Manager, Area Production Unit Manager, or Launch Manager. The individual will attend meetings to determine corrective actions for quality and safety problems found with production equipment. Continuous improvements to production machines focused on quality and safety are essential, including the implementation of smart cameras to test for various defects. The role also requires providing timing estimations for downtime, purchasing needed components, and maintaining budgets for large improvements. Training regarding machine improvements will be provided, and documentation of improvements made to production equipment and tooling is necessary. Additionally, support for the maintenance of the tooling design database, machine designs, and equipment PMs is required. The individual will track equipment KPIs, identify trends, implement corrective actions, and monitor and validate effectiveness. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

  • Bachelor's or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, industrial or manufacturing engineering or related engineering degree.
  • Three plus years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with Industrial, Engineering, production, and other plant and office personnel.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good computer skills with a working knowledge of electrical, safety, labeling, and sensing devices.
  • Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Robot Programming and troubleshooting may be required.
  • Ability to implement changes to mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems in a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced level math skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Software.
