NANA Worley is seeking a Process Engineer to join our team in Anchorage, Alaska. This position is integral to the planning and design of process systems within a multi-discipline engineering and design team. The successful candidate will leverage advanced knowledge of engineering principles, methods, and techniques to contribute to various project assignments. The role is primarily office-based, with the possibility of hybrid remote work arrangements. As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and planning the layout of projects that involve constructing, controlling, and improving equipment for commercial-scale processes. You will develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), utilizing computer modeling software to design processes effectively. Your expertise will also be required in preparing scopes of work and manhour estimates for new projects, ensuring that all designs meet safety and operational standards. In addition to technical design responsibilities, you will participate in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and assist in developing operating procedures for new systems. This role requires a strong understanding of process safety systems, including PSV sizing and ESD control philosophy, as well as the ability to perform hydraulic calculations. You will assess system performance throughout production stages, ensuring control over critical variables such as temperature, density, and pressure. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or a related engineering field from an ABET-accredited institution, along with relevant work experience in the oil and gas industry.
