The Process Engineer position at NANA Worley involves planning and designing process systems within a multi-discipline engineering and design team. The role requires applying advanced engineering principles to project assignments, with a focus on the oil and gas industry. This position is based in Anchorage, Alaska, with potential for hybrid remote work.

Designs and plans layout of projects for constructing, controlling, and improving equipment for commercial processes.
Develops process flow diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
Uses computer modeling software to design processes.
Assists in preparing scopes of work and manhour estimates for new project work.
Primarily responsible for developing process flow diagrams, heat and material balances, and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
Designs equipment for the movement, storage, and processing of petroleum liquids and gases.
Designs process safety systems including PSV sizing and ESD control philosophy.
Performs hydraulic calculations.
Determines effective arrangement of unit operations considering process requirements and safety.
Participates in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and addresses findings.
Assesses system performance through production stages to control variables like temperature and pressure.
Assists in developing operating procedures and facilitates operator training.

Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical, or related engineering field from an ABET-accredited institution.
Minimum of 2 years of work experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry.
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam preferred.

Education or experience with unit processes.
Experience in engineering for cold regions or Arctic conditions.
Hydrocarbons industry experience.
Alaska North Slope Oil and Gas industry experience.
