About The Position

Essential Duties and Responsibilities • Appraises technological developments and investigates the feasibility of applying new techniques and processes to the organization. Prepares cost estimates and written technical proposals. • Integrates equipment and material capabilities to meet process module target specifications and technology target specifications. Pilots prototypes and scale-up prototypes to test for manufacturing and quality issues. • Creates automation and machine design requirements including 3D drawing design, wiring, programming, safety features and sourcing. Troubleshoots and diagnoses design errors, omissions, and other deficiencies to proactively recommend revisions and/or improvements. • Troubleshoots legacy processes and equipment and works with Maintenance, IT and Quality Engineering to support processes. • Collaborates with other process engineers and/or departments to work on assigned steps of departmental or organizational projects. • Creates and updates documentation specifying equipment requirements, verifying and validating performance and detailing instructions for operation, maintenance and repair. Collaborates with other engineering professionals to improve standards for assembly to ensure and promote defect-free processes. • Utilizes standard software programs or writes custom programs to automate data capture and analyzes data to optimize and smooth performance levels. • Composes test and technical reports and other presentations and presents to management. • Analyzes current processes, procedures and systems and makes recommendations for improvement for own job. • Performs other duties as assigned.
