About The Position

Iovance Biotherapeutics aims to be the global leader in innovating, developing and delivering tumor infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy for people with cancer. We are pioneering a transformational approach to treating cancer by harnessing the ability of the human immune system to recognize and attack diverse cancer cells in each patient. The Iovance TIL platform has demonstrated promising clinical data across multiple solid tumors. We are committed to continuous innovation in cell therapy, including gene-edited cell therapy, which may be a promising option for patients with cancer. Overview Our ideal candidate will be a highly talented and motivated individual who wants to further their understanding of Tumor-infiltrating lymphocyte (TIL) therapy biology and thrive doing bench work. The intern will work with our Process Development (PD) Scientist team to evaluate TIL expansion in the full-scale manufacturing process and evaluate the cell density impact on TIL growth. The work will involve observing and generating transducing TIL and characterization through different ex-vivo assays and culture methods. The intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the biotech industry, including working with cutting-edge equipment and technologies. At the end of the internship, the intern will be expected to present a summary of the work they completed during their training period.
