Your Mission Responsible for using the total quality approach as a standard  Serving as a resource for process skills and is responsible for developing the skills to properly run the lab operations Ensuring the proper systems are in place and being utilized  Systemically improving process control through setting daily direction and control strategy for the department  Ensuring that the department employees know and have had training on Quality Assurance (QA) and understand their direct impact on the total quality approach.   Serving as the primary contact for department interfacing regarding quality issues Support defined testing on production orders, Test Plans and Special Requests as performed by QA Technicians Accurately complete data sheets and enter into SPC system looking for trends or OOS data points on as necessary.  Support testing through defined control plans Control of inspection, measuring and test equipment (including calibration) Control the effectiveness of quality control measures Lead investigations and facilitate resolutions of lab related non-conformances by utilizing problem solving techniques Use SAP-QM (Non-conformance System) to report any non-conformances, suspect material, or trends to the appropriate Production Supervisor for immediate investigation and resolution Occasional lifting of up to 50-pound boxes required Occasional work on manufacturing floor with people and processes

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Familiar with QA lab testing, SPC principles, and Quality Function deployment
  • Proficient with computers, SAP and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to make decisions regarding product Quality, consistent with Quality principles
  • Set priorities and organize workload to meet deadlines
  • Ability to follow sampling plans, work instructions and other lab protocol without supervision
  • Interpret test results for conformance to specifications
  • Conformance to Customer and 3rd Party Standard
  • Excellent organizational and record keeping skills
  • Good math skills
  • QA technician experience is preferred
