About The Position

The Process Development Research Assistant will prepare buffers and perform other laboratory assistant duties in support of Downstream Process Development pilot-scale activities.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in science, life science, medical technology, mathematics, chemistry or related field preferred.
• Relevant experience in a lab environment preferred.
• Record (accurately, clearly, and consistently) information, facts, and measurements that are required by cGMP, GLP, GCP, and/or by co-workers in order to understand situations and to perform their assignments.
• Prepares documents using own and others’ data; organizes, clarifies, and presents information for internal and external audiences using commonly available software such as MS Office.
• Reasoning ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Prepares large-scale buffers for downstream process development use
• Manages and tracks raw material inventory
• Maintains a clean and organized buffer prep area
• Performs daily equipment standardization as needed
• Assists with the setup and/or operation of large-scale downstream processing equipment
• Identifies and implements continuous operation improvement ideas
• Document all activities according to the appropriate laboratory procedure and/or KBI standard operating procedures.
