At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least three-four days per week. As a Process Development Intern, you will collaborate cross-functionally to develop manufacturing processes to create innovative, breakthrough next-generation medical devices. We partner with R&D on the front end of projects, innovate to determine how to make a design come to fruition and partner with Operations to launch life-saving devices into the market that improve and extend the lives of patients around the world.

  • Responsible for the integrity and content of Process Plans with respect to materials used in processing and sequencing of tasks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and refine manufacturing processes
  • Design, fabricate and test prototype devices to address clinical feedback
  • Conduct process characterization experiments and Process Validation to determine optimal settings to be used in device manufacturing
  • Investigate and recommend new technology to be utilized to create medical devices
  • Must graduate between Fall 2026 - Spring 2027
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or graduate level degree majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Material Science
  • Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th - August 7th OR May 26th - August 14th
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the Maple Grove, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams
  • Passion to learn new technologies and find new solutions
  • Previous internship or co-op experience
  • Desire to work in a medical device company where real products get manufactured
