About The Position

The Process Designer is responsible for designing hygienic process systems across various industries including Food, Dairy, Beverage, Personal Care, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, and Nutraceutical. This role involves overseeing process skids and piping projects from inception to completion, engaging with customers to develop project scopes, and assisting in the bidding process. The position requires strong project management skills, the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Associate degree required with technical emphasis.
  • 5 years of experience in managing or designing hygienic process systems projects.
  • Project management experience in relevant industries.
  • Proficiency in CAD design software including Autodesk Plant 3D, P&ID, and Inventor.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with FDA compliant fluid processing systems.
  • Knowledge of ASME codes and standards.
  • Experience in industrial food system processing and bio-pharmaceutical environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design hygienic process systems for various industries.
  • Oversee process skids and piping projects from start to finish.
  • Meet with customers to discuss project scopes and requirements.
  • Assist in the bidding of potential projects.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and in-house.
  • Provide design assistance for installation services.
  • Conduct process design reviews for internal and external partners.
  • Utilize design knowledge to drive competitive design solutions.
  • Develop AutoCAD drawings including P&ID and layout drawings.
  • Maintain customer accounts and contacts in CRM software.
