About The Position

The position involves a comprehensive role focused on process improvement and control strategies within a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will analyze existing workflows to identify inefficiencies, implement advanced control strategies, and apply Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to enhance production consistency. The role requires significant floor presence to oversee the implementation of control strategies, troubleshoot issues, and ensure automated systems function correctly. Additionally, the candidate will conduct data-driven analysis, manage projects, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards through thorough documentation.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience with process control methodologies, including advanced control techniques, PID tuning, and SPC.
  • Understanding of plastic materials (e.g. PP, PE, PET) and knowledge of extrusion and injection molding.
  • Deep knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and relevant software (DCS, PLC, SCADA).
  • Proven experience in integrating, programming, and maintaining industrial robotic systems (e.g., FANUC, KUKA).
  • Natural inclination for hands-on problem-solving with the ability to master complex technical systems.
  • Experience with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), process simulation, and data analysis software (e.g., Python, Minitab).
  • Strong understanding of quality management principles and ability to produce detailed validation documentation.

  • 3-5 years of experience within manufacturing, engineering, or process engineering roles.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Proficiency in process simulation, modeling, and statistical analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Minitab).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing workflows to identify and correct inefficiencies, reduce waste, increase output, and lower production costs.
  • Design and program advanced process control (APC) applications, including model predictive control (MPC) and multivariable control systems.
  • Utilize SPC techniques to monitor process behavior, identify non-random variations, and trigger corrective actions.
  • Spend significant time on the factory floor to oversee the implementation of control strategies and troubleshoot issues.
  • Execute process qualification and continued process verification, developing comprehensive documentation.
  • Collect and analyze real-time process data to identify trends and opportunities for process optimization.
  • Coordinate the full lifecycle of projects, including defining scope, managing timelines, and commissioning new equipment.
