Read more about this 2026 internship opportunity below. PIM Brands, Inc. is seeking bright, eager interns for our Maintenance Department. We are looking for a Process Controls Engineering Intern interested in starting a career at our Somerset NJ location. Overview: Develop documentation for both training and troubleshooting of equipment, processes and control programs targeting both production operators and maintenance technicians. Assist on debottlenecking projects to restore process flow and production capacity. Will engage with production associates to map processes and facilitate the team on identifying and testing improvements. Participate in the digitization of the plant floor. Create tools that will augment operators and technicians to improve standard work and understanding.

Requirements

  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in chemical, electrical, mechanical or related engineering field.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude required.
  • Analytical skills required.
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent mathematical proficiency and effective interpersonal/communication skills
  • Have access to local housing and reliable transportation
  • Be able to work during our 10 week summer program, which is a 40-hour week, beginning June 1st, 2026 through at least August 7th 2026

Nice To Haves

  • Professional experience in manufacturing/production a plus.
  • Data analytics skills a plus.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodology a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lean production equipment, processes and related control programs.
  • Develop training materials for both production operators and maintenance technicians.
  • Initiates process studies into equipment/process flow and presents analysis details identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Works under supervision of other engineers and receives guidance in the use of standard company procedures for use in creating content for training and documenting plant controls and processes.
  • Follows company safety and health guidelines and other company policies.
  • Performs other work as assigned.
