We are currently seeking a Controls Project Designer in our Farmington Hills, MI office. As a Controls Project Designer, you will be responsible for providing control systems architecture/ engineering design services to existing and new clients in the chemical, water and wastewater treatment industries, general manufacturing, food and beverage, and petrochemical.

Requirements

  • Must be able to perform all essential duties and responsibilities listed above and have demonstrated leadership traits
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to perform quality control checks
  • Ability to clearly communicate in both oral and written communication to individuals or groups
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs; Control Systems Architecture/Engineering Design
  • Networking skills and server installations
  • Commissioning and start-up experience with control systems
  • Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC Programming / Factory Talk Development
  • Proficiency with Wonderware, Siemens PLC / DCS Programming and HMI Development, AutoCAD Electrical

Responsibilities

  • Meet with existing clients on a regular basis to discuss projects
  • Be involved in training, and mentoring of staff
  • Market control engineering services to existing clients
  • Development and design of control systems
  • Field troubleshooting of PLC and control devices
  • Commissioning and start-up of systems
  • Control Panel Design
  • PLC/HMI Programming
  • Development of Bill of Material (BOM) documentation
  • Other duties as assigned
