They will need to be able to work with various departments to analyze current systems and suggest improvements. They strive to provide positive user experiences, while being aware of the pressures of a 24-hour production environment. Develop and maintain local networks, computers, and production systems in ways that optimize performance. Evaluates current technology and implements effective hardware and software solutions to fulfill the company’s needs. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Management (IM), Information Technology, Applied Science-Cyber Physical Systems, Engineering, or enrolled in an accredited college
  • Networking and switch maintenance
  • At least 1-year working experience configuring network hardware like computer setup, servers, routers, and switches
  • FTP experience
  • SNMP Experience
  • Wonderware Experience
  • VM Ware Tools and 10 zig management

Nice To Haves

  • Superior working knowledge of networks, Virtual Machines, ESXi, Windows operating systems, relational databases
  • Experience with Cisco network devices
  • Database/Programming experience
  • PLC experience
