About The Position

Audit and monitor quality requirements in accordance with the company quality assurance policies and specifications. Conduct inspections on products at all stages of the exhaust manufacturing process. Document and report inspection findings and results in the BMS via Task entries. Perform mechanical, dimensional and visual/cosmetic inspection of raw materials, components, and sub-assemblies as per Inspection Plans and Specification requirements. Perform product identification and traceability activities, as required. Work with other company personnel to resolve inspection questions. Communicate/interface with: Product Managers to ensure product is in compliance with Specifications. Area Supervisors/Team Leads on non-conformities that have originated in their area of responsibility. Document information on the computer in various databases and other internal programs. Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations. Adopt and demonstrate K&N’s Cultural Principles

Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret welding symbols and weld prints
  • Ability to read and verify dimensional engineering prints
  • minimum of one year in an exhaust manufacturing or similar environment
  • Must possess basic writing skills
  • Basic computer skills (familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word) required
  • Understanding and use of basic measuring tools (Calipers, micrometer & angle gage) required
  • Must be able to routinely navigate a business management system, read work instructions, and document work output in English
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds continuously
  • Learn and develop competency in K&N’s Business Management System (BMS)
  • Must be detail oriented and well organized
  • Must demonstrate ability to simultaneously handle multiple duties, prioritize, follow through on all tasks and projects, and meet pre-determined deadlines with limited supervision
