Process Chemist The R&D Chemists' primary responsibility is to focus on Innovation and New Product Development activities for the Hair Lightening, Hair Color and Hair Treatments market segments. Essential Functions include: Lead scale-up and optimization efforts for new product development and existing products Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot processes related to the manufacturing of personal care products Perform laboratory experiments to improve yields, selectivity, throughput, and impurity control Conduct detailed reaction analysis using, HPLC, GC, LC-MS, and other analytical techniques Perform impurity identification and synthesis Identify and mitigate process risks related to safety, scalability, and robustness Collaborate with cross-functional partners including EHS, R&D, Operations, and Quality Assurance Prepare clear, data-driven reports and present experimental results to project teams Support technology transfer to contract manufacturing organizations, including review of master batch records and process description Maintain accurate lab documentation and adhere to all safety and compliance standards Competencies Chemistry Degree or related field with 8+ years of relevant industrial experience in process chemistry Demonstrated success in developing scalable processes, batching and filling Proficiency with standard analytical instruments and data interpretation Excellent problem-solving, organization, and communication skills Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment Familiarity with cGMP and ICH guidelines Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality experimentation Ability to manage multiple projects and shift priorities A proactive, collaborative mindset with enthusiasm for process improvement Must be willing to work onsite 5 days a week Position Type / Work Hours This is a full-time salaried position expected to work Monday through Friday. Travel Minimal is expected for this position. Required Education & Experience Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in Chemistry or related science. Must have a minimum of 8 years' experience in process scale-up and optimization Work Authorization Must be authorized to work in the U.S. as a pre-condition of employment. e measures.
