We are looking for a PROCESS ATTENDANT -FM #6 to join our Midlothian, TX plant. As a Process Attendant with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will monitor quality, performs housekeeping duties, routinely inspecting and lubricating machinery, collects measurements and samples. About the Role Responsibilities: Perform pre-shift area and equipment inspections daily for safety, maintenance and housekeeping, correcting problems as needed using best judgment or Process Supervisor. Make daily rounds to inspect, lubricate plant machinery, and document machinery status. Monitor FM6 cement quality and assume responsibility for quality, work with operator to maintain this quality. Assist Finish Mill Control Room Operator as needed to maintain proper function of equipment. Operate bobcat & forklift as needed for cleanup. Perform and assist with minor mill repairs Collect cement quality samples as needed. Maintain a safe, clean work environment in keeping with MSHA and company rules and standards Perform housekeeping duties. Other duties as directed by supervisor. About You We Require: Must have a willingness and ability to learn new tasks and operate with considerable focus on safety. Must have ability to understand all major components of the grinding circuit on a ball mill, such as: 1. Mill ball charge Cement Blaine and 325 targets 2. Mill liners and screens Limestone addition and Limits 3. Mill Slide Shoe bearings Free limes and Alkali limits 4. Air Separator operation Effect of grinding aids to mill operation. 5. Cement FK Compressor Effect of excessive mill temps on cement. 6. Cement FK pumps Effect of gypsum in process Understand how process changes effect cement quality and throughout. Knowledge of material handling systems. Understand the purpose and functionality of all equipment used in the finish grinding of cement. Knowledge of hazards associated with areas of responsibility. Must be able to operate forklift, skid steer loader, and man lift when necessary. Minimum of (2) years’ experience in cement or related industry preferred. Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in the English language. Climb stairs and ladders as high as 200 feet in elevation.
