  • 2+ years of experience performing preventative maintenance and repairs on manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
  • 2+ years of experience using mechanical, electronic, and PC/software skills to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts (3 days on/4 days off and 4 days on/3 days off), rotate between day and night shifts every 4 months, and work overtime as needed.
  • Ability to wear fab-specific cleanroom garments at all times and occasionally wear PPE (e.g., chemical apron, face shield).
  • Willingness to alternate assignments between the Remote Operations Center (ROC) and in-FAB, with approximately 80% of time spent in ROC and 20% in-FAB.

Nice To Haves

  • AAS or AS degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent trade school/military experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in maintaining manufacturing equipment, automation systems, or technical military experience.
  • 2+ years of experience identifying performance gaps and implementing strategic improvements.
  • 4+ years of experience leading projects related to equipment maintenance and improvement, with a focus on meeting scope, schedule, and budget requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and complete required training.
  • Operate and monitor semiconductor processing equipment; manage up to 25 online manufacturing systems.
  • Support wafer process efficiency, quality, and innovation through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Partner with engineering to improve workstation operations and resolve bottlenecks.
  • Contribute to troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives; analyze data to support process decisions.
  • Assist in onboarding and training new team members.
  • Work in both cleanroom and office environments, adapting to fabrication and data analysis needs.
  • Perform tasks requiring physical activity, including standing for extended periods, walking, lifting (25–40 lbs), and navigating confined or uneven spaces.
  • Communicate clearly in written and verbal formats; manage time and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Apply Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Excel) to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Conduct technical tests and experiments for R&D in wafer fabrication; prepare reports and present findings.
  • Provide technical support to process development and engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with team members and vendors to monitor equipment performance, address preventative maintenance needs, and proactively resolve safety concerns.
  • Document hardware and process deviations to support root cause analysis and prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain cleanroom organization and cleanliness by following housekeeping protocols; support initiatives to improve equipment availability.
  • Participate in Micron and vendor training to enhance knowledge of semiconductor tools and processes.
  • Identify performance gaps and implement strategic improvements to optimize operations.
  • Safely handle gases and chemicals used in production and maintenance tasks.
  • Perform light assembly using handheld tools (<3 lbs); regularly lift materials (25–40 lbs) as needed.
  • Navigate confined spaces and uneven terrain; perform tasks involving bending, crouching, kneeling, climbing ladders, and working with arms raised.
  • Maintain situational awareness and adhere to all safety policies, including use of PPE (respirators, cleanroom garments).
  • Lead and support projects focused on equipment maintenance and operational improvements, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Stand for extended periods (up to 10 hours) and walk intermittently (1–5 miles per shift) to meet job requirements.
  • Understand mechanical, electrical or controls operations of HVAC/R systems, including chiller plants, compressed air, heating water, cooling water, process exhaust, cleanroom HVAC/R, and general building HVAC/R.
