About The Position

As a Process and Analytical Sciences Laboratory technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and trouble-shooting equipment used in cell culture upstream, downstream, and analytical groups such as pH/DO probes, benchtop/skid bioreactors, HPLC/AKTA systems, and Mass spectrometry. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following: Calibrate pH, DO, capacitance probes for benchtop, skid, and SUB bioreactors Cleaning, setup, CIP, and SIP operations of skid bioreactor Building small parts for skid bioreactor and Single Use Bioreactor (SUB) Maintain equipment service history and update logbooks Conduct routine checks of equipment Trouble shoot equipment issues whenever is needed Co-ordinate equipment PM and repair Support MSAT lab operations Glasswasher and autoclave operations if needed Maintain 100% training compliance Overtime may be needed Prolonged standing is needed Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Associates degree OR In Liu of education, 3+ years of experience working with lab equipment in the life science industry, biopharma manufacturing equipment such as bio reactors, PH meters, centrifuges, HPLC, AKTA. 2+ years of experience working with lab equipment in the life science industry, biopharma manufacturing equipment such as bio reactors, PH meters, centrifuges, HPLC, AKTA. Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Knowledge of SAP and/or GSK systems a plus High degree of mechanical aptitude Hard-working and willing to run extra miles Flexible, easy to adapt to changes and new responsibilities A team player Safety conscientious Detail oriented and customer oriented Able to read, understand, and follow SOPs and other regulations #LI-GSK • If you are based in Cambridge, MA; Waltham, MA; Rockville, MD; or San Francisco, CA, the annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges $86,625 to $144,375. The US salary ranges take into account a number of factors including work location within the US market, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level and the market rate for the role. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program which is dependent on the level of the role.
