  • Screen patients to determine eligibility for direct scheduling of GI Procedures.
  • Review patient information to ensure appropriate clinical criteria are met for procedural scheduling.
  • Coordinate care efficiently between patients, referring providers, and the gastroenterologist.
  • Notify patients of their referral to the Direct Access Program.
  • Triage for procedure eligibility and schedule appointments/procedures.
  • Provide preop, prep, and procedure instructions.
  • Maintain constant communication with the patient and referring providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Collect and communicate data on growth opportunity, barriers to care, and patient compliance rates to practice and clinical leadership.
  • Conduct a systematic review of the program monthly.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must possess a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university.
  • Must have experience with Medical terminology.
  • Must have at least 2 years in a medical practice or outpatient surgery center.
  • EPIC experience preferred.
