About The Position

The Interventional Radiology department is seeking a qualified Advanced Practice Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join our procedural team. This is a Monday–Friday position with no weekends, holidays, or call, offering a strong work‑life balance. The APP will be fully integrated into the operational/procedural APP team and will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered interventional care. Responsibilities include independently performing a variety of image‑guided procedures, such as vascular access device placement, paracentesis, thoracentesis, biopsies, and related procedures, in collaboration with interventional radiologists and multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Current MA licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of hands‑on procedural experience in an acute care or interventional setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, procedural environment
  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant required.
  • License Physician Assistant License required., and Registration DPH Drug Control required., and Certificate 1 Basic Life Support required.
  • 0-1 years related work experience required.
  • ARC-PA, NCCPA American Heart Association - Basic Life Support Certificate
  • Valid prescriptive authority from both the MA DPH-DCP and Federal DEA
  • Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Nice To Haves

  • Three to five years experience in a clinical environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs history and physical examinations, formulation of care plans, ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic tests and provides education to patients and their families.
  • Acts as an educator and serves as a clinical resource for staff through consultation formal and informal education, review of literature and participation in seminars and conferences.
  • Coordinates the care of patients in order to provide safe, effective, efficient and timely patient centered care.
  • Liaises between visiting nurses, clinical staff and consult services.
  • Care plans and execution of those plans should encompass the entire service to tie the service together.
  • Consults with physicians or surgeons regarding the care of patients for more complex diagnosis.
  • Document clinical encounters clearly, precisely and in a timely manner.
  • Works in a collaborative relationship with other health professional to determine health needs of patients and families.
  • Demonstrates and role models an interdisciplinary collaborate approach to patient care.
