About The Position

Support FTL as a manufacturing equipment operator, performing all production activities. Run all production equipment and perform production support activities

Typical Product, Processes Methods and Characteristics Involved

Melting and casting of molten metal and machining cast iron liners. Involves work requiring a wide degree of skill and above average job knowledge due to the variety of work.

Machines and Equipment Used

Casting machine, shot blast machinery, cutting machines, automatic loader, Fanuc robotics, CNC lathe, automated gaging, air leak tester, and component oiler.

Tools and Gages Used

Commonly used metric hand gaging, metric scales, automated gaging, and specialized tooling used on the various operations in the molding line and machining line.

Accuracy Requirements and Difficulty Meeting Them

Must know and meet all accuracy requirements on the product and be able to meet these requirements by using the proper tooling and gaging

Source of Methods Authority

Written and verbal instructions from supervisors, engineers, and managers. Detailed drawings, specifications, and layouts.

Responsibilities

• Setup, operate, and maintain tooling for the Casting Line Equipment.
• Setup, operate, and maintain tooling for the Cutoff Machines.
• Setup, operate, and maintain Automatic Loaders.
• Setup, operate, and maintain tooling for the Automated CNC line
• Setup, operate and maintain machining line equipment
• Perform all production support activities including but not limited to;
• Production reporting
• Inspection
• Packaging
• Shipping
• Material handling
• Assist in  Preventive Maintenance
• Adhere to and participate in all EHS requirements as applicable.
• Perform any other duties assigned by supervision.
