About The Position

The Probation Supervisor in Fort Morgan is responsible for supervising, mentoring, and training probation staff while ensuring the effective implementation of policies and procedures. This role involves monitoring caseloads, performing quality assurance, and managing critical incidents, all while maintaining effective relationships with various stakeholders in the judicial system.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• 3 or more years of supervisory experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, social work, psychology, or similar field.

Nice To Haves

• Successful completion of the Colorado Judicial Department Orientation to Supervision/Management course or Judicial Executive Development Institute (JEDI) may be substituted for supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the work of assigned employees including interviewing, hiring, and training.
• Plans and directs work, conducts performance evaluations, and addresses complaints.
• Coordinates activities with the State Court Administrator's Office, courts, treatment agencies, and law enforcement.
• Monitors case file management and ensures data integrity.
• Assesses and responds to critical incidents and potential risks in the field and office.
• Acts as a mediator between clients, employees, and outside agencies.
• Performs administrative functions including reviewing and approving time sheets and PTO.
• Assists in the development and oversight of policies and procedures for the Probation Department.
