Ohnstad Twichell, one of North Dakota’s oldest and largest law firms, is seeking a full-time Probate Paralegal in Casselton, ND. This position is responsible for supporting our Probate department through gathering information, preparing documents for a variety of transactions, communication with clients and various business and legal entities, managing probate execution from start to finish, and providing excellent customer service. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Probate Paralegal to join our team at our office in Casselton, North Dakota. Successful candidates will have the ability to individually manage probate cases from start to finish, including drafting and organizing court and financial documents, conducting asset collection and valuation, facilitating meetings, and communicating effectively with clients, banks, insurance companies, and other stakeholders. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple competing tasks and deadlines are essential. Applicants must be comfortable preparing, proofreading, and filing legal documents and correspondence to ensure accuracy and timely communication. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma, a paralegal degree or certificate, and 3–5 years of probate experience as a paralegal. Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to understand and maintain confidential information are key to success in this role. Research skills and the ability to interpret financial documents are preferred.
