Assist in creating the structure and LEAD the execution of the NEW LEC proactive maintenance strategy. You will utilize your deep understanding of manufacturing and maintenance functions and their key metrics, interactions with different systems, cross functional collaboration within the maintenance organization, and operations in totality to solve complex technical challenges. You will be responsible for leading the Preventative Maintenance (PM) and spare parts programs for every asset and establishing metrics that govern those. You will be responsible for optimizing machine uptime and the reduction of unplanned downtime due to asset failures.

Requirements

  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Extensive knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Planning and Organizing: Extensive knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Plant Facilities Management: Extensive knowledge of processes, methodologies and techniques used to manage plant facilities; ability to handle the full spectrum of activities for managing and maintaining physical facilities and infrastructure.
  • Process Management: Extensive knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
  • Relationship Management: Working knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Service Excellence: Working knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques; ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations and provide excellent service in a direct or indirect manner.
  • Supplier Management - MFG: Working knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.
  • Bachelors degree in an Engineering curriculum or equivalent experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance operations

Nice To Haves

  • Demonstrated achievement in manufacturing engineering, facilities engineering, and/or maintenance roles with a strong understanding of core maintenance functions
  • Machining and Machine Shop maintenance OR other industrial maintenance experiences
  • Experience as a direct/indirect leader
  • CMRP credential

Responsibilities

  • Directing staffing, development and performance management programs for all facilities management/maintenance staff; managing, motivating and developing team members.
  • Maintaining communications and relationships with customers, local community, service providers, and utilities.
  • Developing plans and strategies for infrastructure and processes needed to run a manufacturing facility in accordance with regulatory procedures and environmental standards.
  • Planning the implementation and use of programs and databases for effectively managing properties, physical assets and equipment.
  • Ensuring the correct data is collected and metrics are established to enable a maintenance environment focused on root cause analysis and continuous improvement
