Pro Tem Research Asst/Assoc/Postdoc - Open Pool

About The Position

The Oregon Education Science Laboratory at the University of Oregon is seeking qualified applicants for its open research pool. Positions are limited duration appointments potentially renewable for up to a total of three years. Potential areas of research include: research; program development; statistical analyses related to all phases of preparation of scientific papers, presentations, and grant applications; staff professional development at project level; and off-site research activities with a variety of populations including persons with identified developmental disabilities. Research Associates and Postdoctoral Scholars will conduct independent research and participate on research teams. Research Assistants will conduct research under the direction of Research Associates and participate on research teams. Some positions may require bilingual written and oral fluency. Some positions may include overnight travel and/or extensive previous experience in a similar job role.

Requirements

  • Research Assistant Category: • Bachelor's degree in education or a related area • Senior Assistant I rank requires a bachelor's degree AND 6+ years of experience
  • Research Associate Rank Category: • Terminal degree in Education, Special Education, Educational Psychology, Educational Administration or related area • Senior Associate I rank requires a bachelor's degree AND 6+ years of experience
  • Postdoctoral Scholar: • Doctorate degree in Education, Special Education, Educational Psychology, Educational Administration or related area
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds and an interest in creating and maintaining a diverse learning and working environment.
  • Excellent writing and communications skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain overall program mission.
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
