About The Position

The Pro Shop Staff position at Ritz Carlton Key Biscayne is a part-time role focused on providing exceptional customer service in a tennis pro shop environment. The ideal candidate will assist guests with merchandise sales, reservations, and general shop operations while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. This role is suitable for individuals with a passion for tennis, although prior experience is not mandatory.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job.
• Ideal candidate will be an active tennis player with knowledge of the game.
• Retail sales experience is preferred.
• Computer proficiency including but not limited to POS, Microsoft Office applications, social media, and other programs related to tennis.

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of tennis is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Performs opening and closing procedures for the shop as determined by management.
• Responsible for accountability of POS transactions made.
• Collects applicable fees from members/guests and outside patrons as they arrive.
• Makes court, clinic, lesson, and special event reservations, in person or by phone.
• Assists guests by selling merchandise and providing information in a professional manner.
• Assists with rotating stock and keeping displays clean and orderly.
• Assists with general cleaning of the shop.
• Assists shop supervisor with creating appealing displays.
• Assists with monthly physical inventories.
• May work with coaches to facilitate orderly start and play times.
• Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Performs other duties as required/needed.
