About The Position

As a Pro Shop Attendant, you will be an ambassador for FGCC by providing excellent guest service. Responsible for assisting golfers in the golf shop area.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Customer service experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Prolonged periods of walking and standing for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time (more with assistance)

Nice To Haves

  • Retail experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of golf preferred.
  • Point of Sale experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests.
  • Check in members and guests for golf play after confirming times and course.
  • Advise guests of rules regarding attire, golf clubs, supplies and rules and regulations.
  • Collect and record green fees and issue receipts.
  • Promote the sale of merchandise and additional tokens and golf balls with every transaction.
  • Record all sales transactions.
  • Assist customers with merchandise selections.
  • Keep shop neat and clean and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Balance tee sheets against the register and record ‘no shows’.
  • Answer phones with proper etiquette and field questions from callers/golfers.
  • Maintain billing charges of members and guests; submit billing charges to Accounting Department in a timely manner.
  • Assist in packing and unpacking inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned.
